Advantages of veterinary cryosurgery:
• Inexpensive procedure because anesthesia and sterile preparation not necessary (out-patient procedure)
• Fast and efficient treatment, less time needed for the veterinarian in a busy office
• No general anesthesia needed in the majority of treatments
• Minimal to none pre-or post- operative care
• The tissue and surrounding blood vessels freeze which causes its own numbing, making it practically painless and bloodless.
• Lower risks of complication, less pain and quicker healing.

  • An extremely profitable investment –  an outstanding ratio of your purchase price – your selling price of the therapy and the number of treatments achievable realized with one cartridge of your CryoIQ device.
  • Simple application  – simply touch the tip of the device to the skin and then activate the CryoIQ device by pressing the small lever on its tip. The N2O that is released in the process enables  the precise and safe destruction of cells .
  • Efficiency  – brings a constant freezing temperature of -89 °C directly to the treatment site. With millimeter precision, CryoIQ® achieves excellent results every time.
  • Simple replacement of cartridges  – cartridges can be easily replaced. A 25 gram cartridge with the use of a standard attachment has a freezing capacity of up to 540 seconds

Recommended Freezing Time

The table below provides recommended freezing times for specific types of lesions based on available literature. Please note that the time ranges are broad and intended only as general guidelines. The exact freezing time also depends on the size of the lesion, with larger lesions typically requiring longer treatment durations.

1. Verruca vulgaris (warts) – 8-10 seconds
Description: Common warts caused by viral infections, often appearing on the skin of dogs and cats. Cryotherapy is effective in removing these lesions.

2. Mollusca contagiosium – 3-5 seconds
Description: A rare viral infection in animals, resulting in small, raised lesions on the skin. Cryotherapy can be used for treatment when it occurs.

3. Capillary cavernous angioma – 4-5 seconds
Description: A benign tumor of blood vessels, commonly found in dogs, presenting as red or purple skin masses. Cryotherapy can reduce or eliminate these tumors.

4. Cavernous angioma – 4-6 seconds
Description: A larger, deeper vascular lesion similar to capillary cavernous angioma. It can be effectively managed with cryotherapy in veterinary practice.

5. Granuloma annulare – 5-6 seconds
Description: A rare, chronic condition in dogs that causes raised, ring-shaped lesions. Cryotherapy is a treatment option to manage these lesions.

6. Hemangiolymphangioma – 6-8 seconds
Description: A benign tumor involving blood and lymphatic vessels, often treated with cryotherapy to prevent growth and complications in animals.

7. Keloids – 4-6 seconds
Description: Thick, raised scars that can occur in animals after skin injury. Although more common in humans, when keloids occur in animals, cryotherapy can be used to treat them.

8. Fibroma, soft – 4-5 seconds
Description: A benign fibrous tissue tumor, commonly seen in dogs and cats. These soft fibromas are often treated with cryotherapy.

9. Seborrheic warts – 6-8 seconds
Description: Benign, wart-like growths that typically appear in older animals. Cryotherapy is a simple and effective method for removing them.

10. Trichiasis (ingrown eyelashes) – 4-6 seconds
Description: A condition in dogs where eyelashes grow inward, causing eye irritation. Cryotherapy is used to remove the problematic lashes and prevent recurrence.

11. Papillomas (benign tumors caused by viral infections, common in dogs) – 8-10 seconds
Description: These viral-induced tumors resemble warts and are frequently seen in dogs. Cryotherapy is effective in removing these growths.

12. Skin tags (benign growths of skin) – 4-6 seconds
Description: Small, benign growths that commonly appear on dogs and cats, especially in areas where skin rubs together. Cryotherapy can be used to remove these skin tags.

13. Hyperkeratosis (thickening of the skin, often on the paws or nose) – Time varies
Description: A condition where the skin becomes excessively thickened, particularly on the paws or nose of animals. In some cases, cryotherapy can help manage this condition by removing excess keratin.

TIP!

We recommend always purchasing at least one extra gas cartridge with your package set. This ensures you never run out of gas during treatments, helping you avoid missed or rescheduled appointments. You can also weigh the gas cartridge to monitor how much is left or log the treatments.
